I got an idea to use the Sync command to check my homepage for changes made by hackers, and if so, send me an e-mail. I intend to use Sync with download to compare the contents with a bug free copy at my own PC. But what are the rules that eventually performs a download of a changed file? If the hacker managed to just add one short line of code in a file, will this result in a download of that file?
Or, any other ideas how to regularly check for changes made by hackers at a externally hosted homepage?

Hello Lars,
ScriptFTP sychronizations are based on the file modification time. But you should know that, as the clock time where ScriptFTP runs and the FTP server clock time may be different, ScriptFTP calculates that difference and applies it accordingly in the synchronization.
