I am looking to create a batch file or some kind of shortcut that will allow another user to run a script whenever the want to. I have the script on the scheduler to run once a month, but if a user makes changes to the file that we transfer using FTP, is there a way to create a batch file or something that would allow them to run a script at any time, without having access to the main program.
Double clicking on a script file automatically opens ScriptFTP and runs the script file. But if this approach is not suitable for you try creating the batch file calling ScriptFTP this way:
C:\program files\ScriptFTP.exe D:\path_to_the_script_file\myscript.ftp
To automatically close ScriptFTP when the script is finished remember using the EXIT command on the bottom of the script file.
There is also another way. You can convert your script file directly to an EXE file. Ask me for more information if you are interested.
